A MESSAGE FROM OUR DIRECTORS

The CSU Poetry Center is a small press run by two women. Our six decades of authors and staff are women, trans and nonbinary people, men, students, teachers, writers, readers, parents, caregivers—people who will all be affected by the end of Roe.

Reproductive healthcare is how we got here. It's how we have jobs our mothers and grandmothers couldn't have, weren’t permitted to have. It’s how we can do this work. Abortion is healthcare!

We believe that publishing independent literature is always political and that our beautiful radical challenging books matter to our culture and world in unknowable ways. We are proud and honored to make these books, today and tomorrow.

The end of Roe is an attack on all our daily lives, our well-being, our work, our income, our communities, our art-making, our futures. We don’t know what's next but we're getting ready. We send our love and solidarity to the people of Ohio and across the US.
